1. Overview & Setup
Cyber Stack 55 is a tactical 2-player abstract game played on a 5x5 board. Each player has 10 pieces.
Starting Position:
- P1 (Blue) starts on the bottom row (Row 4).
- P2 (Red) starts on the top row (Row 0).
- Each player has all 5 cells of their starting row filled with a 2-segment stack of their pieces to begin (total 10 pieces).
2. Gameplay
Players take turns moving exactly one piece. The rules of movement are:
- 8 Directions: A piece can move 1 cell vertically, horizontally, or diagonally.
- Top Only: You can only move the piece that is on the very top of a stack. Pieces underneath are trapped and cannot move.
- Stacking (乗っかる): You can move onto any occupied cell (containing your own or the opponent's pieces) to stack on top of them.
- Height Limit: The maximum stack height is 3 pieces. You cannot move onto a stack that already contains 3 pieces.
- Individual Move: Stacks cannot be moved together. Only the single topmost piece is moved at a time.
3. Winning Conditions
A player wins immediately if:
- Goal Arrival: Any of their pieces reaches the opponent's starting row (Row 0 for P1, Row 4 for P2). Any stack height at the destination counts as a victory.
- Blockade (No Legal Moves): The opponent has absolutely no legal moves remaining on their turn (i.e. all of their pieces are covered or blocked).
